Stockholm Design Week 2025
For the third time _UNTITLED participates during Stockholm Design Week 2025. We hosted an event at Studio B3 where Andreas Martin-Löf shared his thoughts and ideas behind the collection and brand as well as shared our new website. _UNTITLED is a new lighting brand designed by architect Andreas Martin-Löf. Bearing the fingerprint and hallmark of Martin-Löf’s design personality, _UNTITLED explores the dualities of craft and industry, material and detail, function and feeling, resulting in a collection of lights that balance quiet familiarity with warm sophistication.
“I have loved lamps since I was a child,” says Martin-Löf. “From a young age, I wanted to become either an architect or a theatre lighting designer. I worked as a lighting designer until the age of 20, and designing lamps for my architecture projects is always one of the highlights. Developing our own lighting is a crucial part of designing a mood into an interior. Lamps are powerful tools; they bring layers of life to space in light and shade.”
_UNTITLED is a joint venture between Martin-Löf and esteemed lighting manufacturer Konsthantverk. Based in south Sweden, the lamp manufacturer and metal workshop has more than a century of experience in lighting production. It is a meeting of minds and hands, skills and machines. For Martin-Löf, the opportunity to trace a single line between idea, material and production has resulted in a collaboration without compromise, with every detail considered and resolved. Each lamp is handmade, and bears a gentle individuality as a result.
The name _UNTITLED is purposefully obscure, referring to the humble origins of the lamp families. Each model was designed to meet a specific need in a former project by Martin-Löf. As such, they have been rigorously tried and tested in real life, settling into different spaces, seasons and atmospheres. They are beautiful supporting characters, entirely fit for purpose.
These are companion lamps for life. They have been carefully designed to be generous for the atmosphere they bring as much as the space they hold as objects in their own right.
Andreas Martin-Löf & Konsthantverk
The inaugural collection of _UNTITLED consists of three families of lights. Derived from designs for historic AML architecture projects, each range has a distinct personality born from a particular character and echo of material and form.
_01 Cone
A collection of cones inspired by the Swedish classic Triplex light from the 1930s, which Andreas inherited from his grandfather. The industrial spun metal forms are augmented by beautifully resolved details, which add a warm note of craft for emotional connection.
_02 Hemisphere
A patinated brass family of spotlights that are elegant and discrete. They provide the solution of architectural lighting with a helpful background quietude. A subtle edge of refinement and old world glamour feels appropriate.
_03 Sinus
A playful combination of aluminium, patinated brass and fibreglass shades achieves an Art Deco effect that feels antique and timeless simultaneously. The woven texture of the fibreglass shade lends the light a soft, atmospheric diffusion.
